The Great Northern  Opry Country Music Weekend

The second County Music Weekend was held in Bruce Mines last weekend July 23-25.

The weekend featured a solid line up of Northern Ontario country music talent .With special guest 12 year old singing sensation Naomi Bristow.  Donna Bisson from Bruce Mines delighted Square Dancers as the caller for Friday and Saturday.

The Northern Ontario Country Music awards where included on Saturday night. Inductees to the Great Northern Opry included Ernie Moulton, Lawrence Martin, Jeff McNeice, Rob Wagner and, Jeff Pyette , all received a Great Northern Opry Ring.  The Northern Ontario Country Music Award for 2010 went to

Doug Hore  from Manitoulin Island.

A big thank you to Dave and Carol Patterson ,for their undying devotion to keeping Country Music alive and honored in Northern Ontario. Thank you to all the volunteers that made this weekend a success.
